Legal Case Management Costs Drafting Software

We use state of the art costs drafting software and a case management system modified to manage costs litigation by our IT support, based on Lexis Nexis Visual Files.


This software is designed to provide unrivalled efficiency both in bill drafting and case management, ensuring that all steps are taken at the appropriate times, and all files concluded within our tight timetables; automatic prompts guide us through the process and provide complete management information.

Managing Caseloads

Our Costs Draftsmen work in teams and have specific case loads dependent on the nature and value of the work, with each fee earner handling a portfolio of live cases.


Cases are managed into and out of our case management system legal costs software and allocated on a 'by fee earner' basis. Each individual and their supervisor are accountable for the progress of every case, and all work is sent out under the supervision of an accountable team leader/manager. Our system is fully automated with prompts for each step in the process.

Maintaining Quality

Our senior staff are generally ACL qualified at Costs Lawyer level. We recruit at mid-level and strive to employ a team driven and motivated to provide clients with a first class service.


Our junior staff are trained by us under the supervision of our Managing Director who is an ACL accredited trainer. The training academies have ranged from 2 to 6 trainees and have a minimum entry qualification of a 2:1 Law degree.


All our work is carried out with a high level of attention to detail, exemplified by our use of state of the art bill drafting software to ensure our bills of costs are presented in a uniform and high quality format.

Our fee earners and team leaders keep regular contact with clients as required. We regularly confer with clients to ensure our service standards are meeting our SLAs and continue to meet your requirements.


Our case management system has been tailor made for us to provide detailed management information and reports on a client and SLA specific basis. Each client’s needs are different and reporting is agreed on that basis. We can report from daily to quarterly by firm or department in many categories, including:

  • Milestones reached
  • Hearings listed
  • Profit costs recovered against wip
  • Unrecovered and recovered disbursements
